Mokum special: Teis Semey Mini-orchestra (NL) + David Binney/Henry Solomon band (US)

Teis Semey, ‘the bad boy of Dutch Jazz’, released two albums last year: Crudo and En Masse!. This evening Semey plays with his mini orchestra. A off hand version of the Super Extra Deluxe Orchestra, this band plays a selection of original pieces as well as Danish and slavic folk music, dressed in modern impro jazz.

David Binney is a highly regarded saxophone legend, based in Los Angeles. He comes with Henry Solomon and guests, and will play the second set.

An entry in the series of: “suddenly this happens, and there’s no guarantee of where and when the next time will be”.
