River Adomeit is a musician rooted in the traditions of American jazz and folk. Originally from Connecticut, USA and currently residing in Amsterdam, River casts a wide net of influences that he incorporates into his bold and concentrated approach to composition and performance. In particular, River's interest lies in finding new ways of utilizing improvisation in the context of American songwriting styles. He works with a mixture of standard jazz repertoire, original compositions, and free improvisation to weave a narrative structure to each performance.
